Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented TIG Welder specializing in stainless steel to join a manufacturing facility in Deer Park, NY. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, fitting, and high-precision Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW / TIG) on thin-to-medium gauge stainless steel assemblies. The ideal candidate has blueprint-reading skills, excellent manual dexterity, and a focus on producing clean, high-quality, cosmetic welds. Please call our office at 631-582-3807 for an interview!

Responsibilities
- Precision Welding: Perform high-quality TIG welding on stainless steel components, sheet metal, and structural fabrications according to strict engineering specs.
- Setup & Fit-Up: Clean, cut, grind, align, and fixture metal parts prior to welding using clamps, jigs, and precision measuring tools.
- Blueprint Reading: Read and interpret shop drawings, engineering blueprints, weld symbols, and work instructions.
- Equipment Operation: Set up and tune TIG welding equipment (amps, gas flow rates, tungsten selection, filler rods) for proper heat input and penetration control.
- Quality & Inspection: Perform visual quality checks on finished welds to ensure they are free of porosity, cracks, burn-through, or cosmetic defects.
- Finishing Operations: Perform post-weld clean-up, blending, polishing, and grinding as required to meet aesthetic or functional standards.
- Safety & Maintenance: Maintain a safe, organized workspace and strictly adhere to personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements and safety protocols.
